To add a new widget, you will need to go through some of the basic steps.
Open your dashboard, click on the Edit Mode button on the left.
Then in the right sidebar click on the ADD DATA WIDGET button.
After that, select your integration, for example, Google Analytics Reporting, and select the Account you connected.
If you didn't connect any of the sources you can always click on the plus button on the right side and then connect your source.
Click the blue NEXT button.
The next step is to select a Property as well as the Profile of the website and one of the pre-defined widgets.
If you do not wish to use one of our pre-defined widgets, you can create a custom widget instead by selecting the Segment, Dimension, and Metric(s).
Widget Title & Widget Description
In the next step, you can define the title of your widget, as well as the widget's description. Widget descriptions come in quite handy if you want to add additional comments for specific KPIs only, or you need to explain what each metric represents.
This is how the widget title & description look like in the reporting mode of your dashboard.
Widget Size
The next step is to select the dimension of your widget.
Our dashboards are grid-based with 4 columns and infinite rows.
We advise using 1x1 or 2x1 sizes when you're reporting metrics that are used to show historical data (day, month, week) and using a 3x1 or 4x1 when you're reporting in a table format.
Be sure to have in mind that you can always change the size of the widget by clicking on the Resize button inside the edit mode of your reports.
Checkboxes
Display change data as a percentage (defaults to number difference) - Since Reportz pulls in the historical data you have on your data sources, it also pulls in the comparisons for the data.
This is how the default number difference looks like.
So, if you wish to see the difference in the data as a percentage you should mark this checkbox.
Hide widget front side changes - if you wish to entirely hide these comparisons from the front side of your widget, you can do so by selecting this checkbox.
Hide widget highlights and total row - this checkbox allows you to hide the value above your charts and just show the value broken down by the dimension you chose.
This checkbox will also hide the total row in your table widgets.
Order By
This latest addition to Reportz will allow you to modify how the data is shown in your widget. Here you are able to order the way the data is displayed by either the dimension of the widget or by the metrics in the widget.
You also have the option to set it in a descending or ascending order.
If you're presenting historical data, i.e, the number of sessions on a month-to-month basis, be sure to set the order by the dimension (month, i.e), and in ascending order.
On the other hand, if you wish to show the best performing source/mediums for the number of sessions, you should order it by Sessions in Descending order.
Rows Limit (0 for no limit)
This option allows you to remove specific values from your widgets.
Even though we always advise keeping it to 0, it can be useful if you wish to filter out, i.e, specific campaigns that aren't performing well and just want to show top-performing ones.
Important notice: sometimes the limit by default will be set to 15, so be sure to have that in mind when you're trying to present the data on a daily basis.
Just change the limit from 15 and set it to 0. That way it will not show only 15 days, but all of the days in your date range.
After you're done with this select your widget format and click on Next.

These checkboxes can come quite handy when you're presenting the data in table widgets and you wish to hide the changes for the widgets.
Is metric hidden? - will hide the entire metric from the widget, so your widget will look like this:
Is metric's change hidden? - will hide the individual metric's comparison data from the widget, so it will look like this:
